Compounding: Living on the Edge - Adventures, Risks, and Rewards

Activity Description:
As a compounding pharmacist you may feel that sometimes you are living on the edge. This session will discuss some of the adventures encountered, including future and growing trends. Both the risks and rewards will be reviewed.

Learning Objectives for Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians:
1. Discuss several issues in the changing landscape of compounding with regard to regulations and standards.
2. Identify some of the risks associated with both sterile and non-sterile compounding.
3. Review some of the rewards of compounding.
4. Describe some of the adventures in the future or growing trends in compounding pharmacy.

This is a knowledge-based CE activity and is targeted to pharmacists and technicians.
